A wonderful recreation of the standard American “theatre orchestra” popular from the 1880’s through the early 1920’s by this talented ensemble of director Rick Benjamin’s Juilliard colleagues. Before the time of recorded soundtracks, these orchestras were vital accompaniments for vaudeville, operetta, musical comedy and later, the emerging medium of motion pictures.
