Andrew Melton
Andrew Melton was raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Tokyo, Japan, where his parents were international school teachers. He studied film scoring at the Berklee College of Music, and his instrument is the vibraphone.
After college, Melton moved to Los Angeles, where he graduated from the film scoring program at the University of Southern California. While there, he gained experience in film scoring, band composition and arranging, and playing piano in improv comedy theaters.
Subsequently, Melton focused on international teaching, and spent two years at the American School of Marrakech, Morocco, three years in Lima, Peru, teaching band, choir, and composition, and presently teaches at the Shanghai American School.
