Clarissa Besong

Clarissa Besong (b. 1997) has been a musician from an early age. She fell in love with the saxophone in the fourth grade and has been playing ever since. A 2015 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School (Wingate, PA), Clarissa was highly involved in the marching, concert, and jazz bands. While earning her bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, PA), she played in the school’s stadium band. After moving to Iowa in 2021 with her husband, Luke, and two furbabies, Clarissa began work at the C. L. Barnhouse Company where she is currently serving as the Production Manager. She is still an active musician, playing saxophone in a community concert band at the local university.
