Jerry Brubaker
Jerry Brubaker is a composer and arranger with hundreds of published works for band, symphony orchestra and chorus. A native of Altoona, Pennsylvania, Jerry has a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music and a Master of Music in Composition from The Catholic University of America. Mr. Brubaker served for 30 years in the United States Navy Band in Washington, DC as a French horn soloist and composer/arranger. He became the Band’s Chief Arranger and held that position until his retirement from the Navy in 1998.
Jerry has been a member of the City of Fairfax (VA) Band and the Virginia Grand Military Band and is a recent Past President of The Association of Concert Bands.
Enjoying life in Colorado, Jerry now plays Horn in the Estes Park Village Band and The Highland Brass Quintet.
Mr. Brubaker joined C. L. Barnhouse’s list of composers in 2024 with “Piccolodia”, a work for Solo Piccolo and Concert Band which was premiered at the recent ACB Convention in Orlando by Nada Montgomery.
