John Prescott
John Prescott is Professor of Music at Missouri State University where he teaches music theory, composition, and coordinates Graduate Studies in Music. His compositions are published by Balquhidder Music, Claude T. Smith Publications, the International Trombone Association Press, JPM Publications, TRN Publications, and Wingert-Jones Publications.
Dr. Prescott holds degrees from Florida State University and the University of Kansas where he studied composition with John Pozdro and James Barnes. He is a member of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA), and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
