Matthew Manning
Matthew Manning (b. 1996) is a distinguished African American composer and music educator from Blue Springs, Missouri. He successfully earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music from the University of Central Missouri.
Throughout his undergraduate tenure, Mr. Manning showcased an exemplary commitment to musical pursuits, actively participating in an array of ensembles, including orchestra, marching band, concert band, jazz band, chamber ensembles, and vocal ensembles.
Mr. Manning’s musical prowess extends beyond academia, as he has lent his talents to various ensembles across the Kansas City Metro area including performances with the Lee’s Summit Symphony, The Lee’s Summit Community Jazz Orchestra, The Liberty Community Band, and the Warrensburg Community Jazz Band.
Presently, Mr. Manning imparts his wealth of musical knowledge as a dedicated middle school orchestra instructor within the Blue Springs School District, teaching beginning, intermediate, and advanced orchestra students.
