Nathan Hervey
Nathan Hervey graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s degree in music education (‘10) and from The University of North Texas with a Master’s in Trombone Performance (‘13). He performed as a member of the UNT symphony orchestra, the 2 O’clock Lab Band, and the premier trombone choir conducted by Tony Baker, Vern and Jan Kagarice. These varied musical experiences provided him with exposure to a wide array of musical styles and greatly influenced his writing.
Nathan began writing and arranging music his senior year of high school with the encouragement of one of his band directors. When he became a band director, Nathan began writing chorales for his groups which led to writing larger-scale performance works. His music has been published since 2015, and it brings him great joy to share his music with the world.
Mr. Hervey has served as an assistant band director in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area since 2012. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors.
