U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Band

The United State Merchant Marine Academy Band, directed by Captain Kenneth R. Force since 1971, is also known as “George M. Cowan’s Own” Band. Made up of regular Midshipmen at the academy, the band is well respected as an outstanding military band and an excellent musical group.
